Directions
-
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 9×13 pan with foil (for easy clean-up).
-
Slice rolls in half. Place bottom halves in pan.
-
In skillet over medium-low heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and mix in hot sauce. Add chicken sausage patties, heat for 4-5 minutes, turning to coat in hot sauce mixture.
-
While sausages are warming, sprinkle cheese on bottom halves of rolls. Melt remaining 1 tablespoon of butter and maple syrup in microwave safe bowl. Set aside.
-
Once hot and coated in sauce, place one sausage patty on each bun. Top with any remaining sauce from pan. Place top halves of rolls on top of sausages, place into oven. Bake 5 minutes or until cheese melts. Remove from oven, brush butter syrup mixture onto tops of rolls. Return to oven for 2 minutes. Remove from oven, add blue cheese or ranch dressing.
-
Serve with leaf lettuce and tomato slices to cool the heat from the buffalo sauce. Celery sticks can be served on the side, or chopped and added to the sandwich dressing.
