When you put our original roll sausage in creamy gravy over fresh warm biscuits, you can’t go wrong.

Ingredients

1 clove | Garlic, minced |
3 tablespoons | All-purpose flour |
2 cups | 2% milk |
2 teaspoons | Minced fresh thyme |
1/2 teaspoon | Black pepper |
Additional minced fresh herbs for garnish | |
Salt to taste |

Heat a large skillet over medium heat; add sausage and cook until golden brown and no longer pink, crumbling the sausage as you go. Drain off half the drippings.

Add garlic; sauté for 2 more minutes. Sprinkle flour and cook for 2 more minutes.

Slowly stir in milk, making sure flour and sausage are incorporated. Bring to a simmer over medium low heat. Mix in fresh thyme, black pepper, and salt to taste.

Simmer for 5-10 minutes over medium low heat, until gravy is fragrant and thick. Adjust seasonings and serve over warm biscuits. Garnish with remaining fresh herbs.
