Directions
-
Heat oven to 350°F.
-
Mix flour, yogurt, maple syrup and baking powder in a large bowl until a rough dough forms. Remove the dough from the bowl and knead on a floured surface until the dough is no longer sticky. Set the dough aside to rest while you prepare the sausages.
-
Cook sausage in a large skillet over medium heat with a few tablespoons of water for 4 minutes, turning occasionally. Remove the sausages from the pan and allow them to cool slightly. The sausages will finish cooking in the oven.
-
Divide dough into 12 pieces and roll into long thin tubes. Wrap the tubes around the sausages to look like a mummy.
-
Place the dough wrapped sausages on a baking sheet. Whisk an egg and brush the egg wash over the dough.
-
Cook the sausages in the oven for 15 minutes. Remove and allow them to cool slightly before enjoying!
-
Optional: add some festive candy eyes!
-
To make these in the air fryer with our fully cooked sausages….
Air fry the Golden Browns for 3-4 minutes at 300 degrees. Remove and let cool slightly.
After wrapping, place back in the air fryer at 275 degrees and bake 10 minutes or until golden brown.
