Sausage French Toast Bake
This French toast bake features a perfect balance of savory Jones All Natural Pork sausage links and sweet, orange-infused custard-soaked brioche, and with the option to prep it ahead of time, it’s an effortless and delicious brunch choice.

9 slices | day old brioche bread, cut into 1 ½ inch cubes |
1 package | Jones Dairy Farm All Natural Mild Pork Sausage Links, defrosted and sliced |
5 | large eggs |
1 ¾ cups | whole milk |
1/3 cup | sugar |
2 ½ tsp | vanilla extract |
Zest of 1 large orange |

Lightly grease an 8×8 baking dish.

Layer half of the bread in the bottom of the dish. Sprinkle with half of the sausage. Repeat with remaining bread and sausage.

Whisk eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and orange zest in a medium bowl. Pour mixture over bread and sausage. Lightly press down to ensure bread is covered in liquid.

Cover baking dish with foil and refrigerate for at least two hours or overnight.

When you’re ready to bake, heat oven to 350°F. Remove baking dish from fridge and let come to room temperature while the oven preheats.

Bake covered for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake another 10-15 minutes until puffed and golden brown.

Drizzle with maple syrup and dust with powdered sugar. Serve warm.
