1/2 cup | Grape jelly |
1/2 cup | Tomato jam, optional (ingredients below) |

5 cups | Cherry or chunked whole tomatoes (fresh or canned) |
1/2 cup | Brown sugar |
1 tbsp | Chili paste |
1 tsp | Kosher salt |

Make the jam. Mix all ingredients in a large skillet over low heat. Simmer for 45-60 minutes until tomatoes are thick and jammy. It should coat the back of your spoon.

Make the meatballs. Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cover with lid and cook on low for 3-4 hours or high for 2 hours. To make on stove, simmer in a large Dutch oven over medium-low heat for 25-40 minutes.
